Playing with the color peach

Last week I wrote about how I was embracing pastels (I'm still in a bit of shock about that one!), but they are sooo pretty.  While this room may have a little bit too much color for some of us, it is a great example of how to mix all these colors together. In case you wanted to play with pastels I've gone through the paint swatch book and matched up some Benjamin Moore paints.

Keep in mind that the paint swatch you get may look different on the wall. Paint changes colors depending on light, the tone of your wood floors, cabinets or counters, or even my mood (I swear this is true!). Always paint a swatch on the wall and live with it for a few days.

If you don't want to commit to paint, then maybe how about a pillow. Next week I'll pull some vintage and new goods and show you how you can do these colors yourself.

If you are in Chicago I'll be speaking at Sulzer Library on Thursday, June 30th at 6:30PM on Interior Design. Come join me!
