Craft and design

As if I did not already have enough reasons to visit San Francisco (USA) one more time, I just read that the Museum of Craft and Design just reopened last month!

This museum, "strives to encourage greater awareness and appreciation of the international scope of craft and design to audiences of all ages through innovative exhibitions and related educational programming." Checkout this video about it created by the people at CreativeBug.
Now, the fact that there is a museum focusing on the relationship between craft and design makes me very happy and it encouraged me to search for similar museums/galleries around the world and so far, these are the ones that I have found:
The Craft Centre and Design Gallery in Leeds (UK) "promotes the very best in contemporary British Craft; handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, glass, textiles, applied art and limited edition prints."
The Museum of Arts and Design (“MAD”) in New York City, (USA) "explores the blur zone between art, design, and craft today. Accredited by the American Association of Museums since 1991, MAD focuses on contemporary creativity and the ways in which artists and designers from around the world transform materials through processes ranging from the artisanal to the digital."
The Museum of Contemporary Craft (MoCC) in Portland, Oregon,  (USA) "is a vibrant center for investigation and dialogue that helps expand the definition and exploration of craft."
The Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library (MCML) (Canada) "fosters respect and excellence in craft and encourages participation and personal expression through handcrafts."
The Craft and Folk Art Museum in Toronto, Canada "challenges established ideas about craft, design and folk art and engages people though its diverse exhibitions and programs."
So there you have it! More reasons to travel, share and experience the wonderful world of crafting and design. Talking about sharing, do you know of any other museum/gallery that focuses on the relationship between craft and design?
