When I was in my twenties it was popular to figure out what your 'colors' were. They were broken out by Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer and based on your face tone, hair color, eye color, etc. I'm a Fall. I look really good in deep blue green, russet red, plum, orange and mustard yellow. Granted lately I tend to wear a lot of black, but those are the colors I am definitely drawn to.
I love that I'm seeing those traditional seasonal color palettes be broken up. So instead of mustard yellow and blue/green it is mixed with light blue, pink or light green.
I can tell when I keep pinning the same thing that I'd like to bring more of that into my life. Lately that is definitely mustard yellow.
If big bold mustard is too much, then take a look below at some of the other options that have just a hint of mustard mixed in.
If you are craving color saturation then the image below will inspire you. I love that mix of green, pink and mustard. It surprisingly works so well together. I think having the one room painted mustard yellow and the adjoining room green and pink works, but then pulling a yellow lamp into the green room makes it perfect.
If that is too much color for you, then take a look at the picture below. It has a white base and that splash of mustard and a bit of pink peeking out in the picture.
