Saarinen Designed Christ Church Lutheran

I could write a post about how important Christ Church Lutheran is from a design and architect standpoint, and how it has achieved national landmark status and that it received the highly prestigious American Institute of Architects' 25- Year Award, or how Eliel Saarinen created a building that is stripped of artifice at the request of a pastor concerned about our materialistic society, or I could talk about the use of the curve to draw your eye to the cross and how the building asymmetry is harmonious, or how Saarinen used light like a photographer. Instead I will leave you these photos I shot on Sunday and to suggest that you go to Christ Church Lutheran to be warmly welcomed by the congregation, hear Pastor Kristine Carlson and leave with an immense feeling of peace.
