Dabbling with blogging with Keith Ecker
One Saturday morning my friend Christina and I went to the Dabble class Content Marketing 101: Blogging taught by Keith Ecker. While I do love blogging for Meandering Design it has been a bit haphazard and I felt I needed some organization along with a dose of inspiration. Christina is starting out on a new venture with our friend Diana and is creating a blog for their company Be You. Which, if you need some happiness in your life along with a sprinkle of puppies, kittens, glitter and unicorns (even if you do not care for such things), then you need to check out Be You, the 'Happiness Ambassadors' of Chicago.
Beyond saying it was one of the best classes I have taken in a long time (and I've taken a lot of classes), I am not going to say much. Go take a class with Keith. He is insanely knowledgeable and very generous with his time. He helped me get back on blogging track and I got inspiration galore to keep me going. He has a fabulous teaching style and never makes you feel like you are doing something wrong, or you don't know what you are talking about, even if maybe you don't. Plus he is witty, charming and quite dapper. It was a brilliant way to spend a Saturday.
Lutz Cafe and Pastry Shop located at 2458 West Montrose Avenue in Chicago deserves a wee shout out of its own. Their coffee service is delightful and tasty. It is served Viennese style in a lovely silver carafe and a side dollop of whip cream. I do not know how I managed to walk out of there without a pastry, but I did and I deserve an award for such restraint. It felt a bit like some of the cafes I went to in the Hague, which was my first trip abroad.
Oh, and that fabulous picture of ladies typing is from Flickr Creative Commons which "is a non-profit that offers an alternative to full copyright. It is easy to search an amazing array of fabulous photos, many that are available for sharing. Another helpful tip I learned form Keith.
Currently he does not have any classes available on Dabble, but keep an eye out! By the way, Keith, we'd love an advanced Blogging class, an SEO class, a marketing class, or a storytelling class...
